February 1st: Fire Safety with CAL FIRE (Community room Airport Station 21, 4671 Broad Street, San Luis Obispo): The crew of Airport Station 21 will once again be hosting us for one of our most important training events of the year. This training is especially important for our trailer teams/first responders or anyone who owns a home in fire rich areas. Some of the things they will review is proper clothing/boots to wear while in the field in an emergency, how to park our vehicles while we are on properties, how fire moves, danger signs to look for and the most import part of the class, the Incident Command System. The ICS is very intricate part of any fire, large or small and is important for us to learn how it works, since we are welcomed and encouraged to be at and be a part of the ICS during an emergency.
