HEET tried to find a more central location\, but was unable to find a suitable venue that would allow us to congregate. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor those not familiar with our trailer rodeo\, it is a place to come and practice maneuvering your rig in some tight situations without the worries of holding up traffic. It is a good place to practice and a good place to learn if you are not comfortable driving your rig. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis training will incorporate the social (physical) distancing rule\, and masks are required outside of your vehicle. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMost of the training will involve people being naturally distanced\, in their trucks. However\, please observe the rules when you are out of your vehicle. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe CHP will be there to help us with new rules and regulations\, as well as with inspections of our rigs\, and training us on what to look for on our own. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is our FIRST live event in many months! We ask everyone to bring their horses to this training and we are going to trade horses. \nMeaning? We will take turns loading each other’s horses into each other’s trailers. This is a perfect opportunity in a quiet setting to practice handling and loading horses with which we are unfamiliar with. Also\, it gives our horses the opportunity to load in a trailer they are not familiar with the owner present to give advice. \nMembers that don’t have trucks and trailers are encouraged to come as well as they can team up with single drivers. This is another thing that would happen in an actual emergency. This training is designed to help everyone\, handlers and horses to work with the situation at hand. We hope it is a good experience for all.

You will know you are in the right spot when you see the campus and HEET signage indicating the event!\n\nFor those not familiar with our trailer rodeo\, it is a place to come and practice maneuvering your rig in some tight situations without the worries of holding up traffic. It is a good place to practice and a good place to learn if you are not comfortable driving your rig.\n\nCHP will be there to review rules and regulations. They also provide the unique opportunity to “inspect” our rigs\, provide guidance on any concerns\, and also train us on what to look for on our own.\n\nWe’re excited to get going on our live training post-rain season. ALL trailer types are welcome (does not need to be livestock/horse related) but please do not bring any animals.\n\nSee you soon!

This training is especially important for our trailer teams/first responders or anyone who owns a home in fire rich areas. Some of the things they will review is proper clothing/boots to wear while in the field in an emergency\, how to park our vehicles while we are on properties\, how fire moves\, danger signs to look for and the most import part of the class\, the Incident Command System. The ICS is very intricate part of any fire\, large or small and is important for us to learn how it works\, since we are welcomed and encouraged to be at and be a part of the ICS during an emergency.
